Remote Access Support

For our client's convenience, we offer Remote Access Support to allow our technical staff remote access to your systems. This is done only with your permission and supervision.

Please make sure you have arranged a support session with a technician and are already on the phone prior to starting the support session. For support, call our dedicated line at: 707.763.7011 or email support@controlwest.com or contact us.

Instructions

  1. To start a Remote Support Session, simply click on the link below titled 'Teamviewer Agent'.
  2. Browser specific instructions:
    1. If you are using Internet Explorer, simply click 'Run' to start the download, then 'Run' again to confirm you want to run the program. The program will start automatically.
    2. If you are using Mozilla Firefox, you will need to save the file 'TeamViewerQS.exe' on your Windows Desktop and run it from there.
  3. If you get a security warning from your Antivirus/Firewall program, please allow an exception to be created for Teamviewer to work properly.
  4. Once the program starts you will be presented with a dialog box. Within a few seconds a unique ID and password will be generated for you. Please provide this information to the support technician.
  5. Please note that after the session had ended (either by you or the support technician), the program will remove itself from memory and no further connection will be possible until you initiate another session (with a newly generated password).

Team Viewer Agent

FTP access

In some situations we post large files to our FTP site for client access. This site also allows clients to post information to our server. We offer this service upon request.

FTP Instructions:

  1. We will assign you a user name and password for access to the FTP site.
  2. Open your web browser.
  3. Type in or cut and paste the following address into your browser: FTP:\\office.controlwest.com.
  4. Put in the User Name and Password sent to you by Control Systems West, Inc.

Special Services

For large client projects, we will post and retain all site drawings upon request. In addition and also upon request, we keep PLC and local operator interface on the FTP site. This gives our clients the most recently updated version of the required drawings when they are needed.
